FIRE PREVENTION TIP OF THE WEEK
June 15, 2009
Tip #238
Gas Grills
Even though you have been grilling for a while now, there are a few things to check before you turn the gas on next time.
- Check the tubes that enter into the burners for any blockage from spider webs, grease, insects or dirt. Clean any blocked pathways pushing any debris into the burner.
- Make sure the hoses are free of cracks and leaks. Replace if necessary.
- Review owners manual and follow instructions when checking for gas leaks
- If you smell gas don’t use the grill until the problem is fixed.
Following these tips will keep your day safe and you will have taken a step towards being fire safe at home and in the wildlands.
Father’s Day is this Sunday…Let the Grillin’ begin!
Be safe out there!
