This fire station was orginally constructed in the early 1960s and has never had any significant structural improvements since.

In an effort to make this a fully functioning fire station, the most cost efficient option with this building is to raze it and start fresh. Goals include apparatus bays that are large enough to house present-day fire engines, energy efficiency, potable water system, living quarters, a community meeting space, and design a building that is more consistent with the look and feel of the community.
